Mojo Barriers celebrates its 21st anniversary with Gatekeeper launch

Mojo barriers are the gold standard in crowd safety barriers, now Mojo have added a brand new product to their range which will significantly enhance crowd safety at major events.

Mojo have been setting the gold standard within the music industry for many years, their role is to supply quality front-of-stage barriers to music tours and events and they've been helping keep crowds safe at events for 21 years now. During that time Mojo Barriers have become the industry standard for safety, reliability, flexibility, and strength, it's the one that quality events use for peace of mind.

Mojo Barriers aim is to help create safer event sites both for working personnel and the audience so the launch of a brand new product that will enhance crowd safety at events this year is another welcome step forward for crowd safety experts.

With the launch of this innovative new product known as 'Gatekeeper' international crowd safety barrier specialist Mojo Barriers cement their position as international experts and it's timed perfectly to celebrate their 21 years in business.

There has been no real, effective and quick way of knowing exactly how many people are in an event at any one time but Gatekeeper changes that and provides a system that enables event organisers to keep up to date and informed as to how many people are in a controlled area at any one time.

Gatekeeper is a smart turnstile system with proprietary software, designed to improve crowd safety at events. By counting the number of people entering and leaving a controlled event area through multiple exits, it monitors and automatically controls the capacity in real time.

“Gatekeeper meets a longstanding demand of promoters and public event organisers everywhere in the world,” said Patrick Jordan, Managing Director of Mojo Barriers. “Until now, there has been no way of measuring the exact size of a crowd entering or leaving a public space through many different gates. Gatekeeper can keep track of the number of people in any controlled space, allowing organisers to prevent overcrowding even at a free, ticketless event.”

In addition, the company has also merged with the established London-based company Marathon Barriers, which specialises in pedestrian barrier and rope and pole facilities for “red carpet” events.

“Marathon enhances Mojo Barriers’ ability to provide a wider range of barriers and crowd control facility in the UK,” says Patrick Jordan. “We are excited about the possibilities the new purchase affords us in this market.”

Formed in 1988, the company has pioneered crowd safety barrier design, introducing developments such as curved barrier sections, bar barriers, line up gates and the Barrier Load Monitor System (BLMS). As a result it has become the supplier of choice for international artists, promoters and venues when specifying their crowd barrier requirements.

The worldwide launch of Gatekeeper took place at The Event Show, Olympia, London this January.
