Frank Turner - New DVD and Tour Details

This September, renowned roaming anti-folk hero FRANK TURNER releases a jammed-packed-full-of-goodies DVD, titled ‘All About The Destination’ on September 24th through “Xtra Mile Vision - a division of XMR LTD”.

The DVD gives a detailed insight into the highs and very lows of being a touring solo artist; documenting from when Frank first hit the road on his own after the demise of his previous band Million Dead to the climactic shows at this year’s summer festivals, such as Reading & Leeds.

As well as the fly-on-the-wall look into the perils of touring life, the DVD includes a comprehensive collection of single promo videos; some made professionally and shown on MTV2, Q and in TopShop, others created and then submitted by fans invited to do so through Frank’s website. The results are some interesting interpretations of the tracks off his debut solo album, ‘Sleep Is For The Week’.

Also featured on the DVD is a wealth of live performances from some of the 335 solo gigs Frank has played in just 2 years. They include footage of the now infamous rendition of ‘The Ballad Of Me and My Friends’ at The Barfly, London, recorded live for inclusion on ‘Sleep…’ and the first ever chance to hear brand new song ‘I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous’ performed live for the first time at the Secret Garden Party Festival back in July of this year.

Together with detailed guitar tabs to all of the songs in the back catalogue, ‘All About The Destination’ is a absolute must for his die-hard fans as well as being an excellent introduction to any newcomers.

The DVD will be available to buy in all good music shops as well as on the road when Frank Turner teams up with fellow Softcore troubadours Sacramento legend that is Jonah Matranga (Far, Gratitude, Onelinedrawing); fellow Sacramento resident Jacob Golden (Birthday) and Boston’s Joshua English (Six Going On Seven), all playing solo shows.

An exclusive CD featuring acoustic hardcore punk covers by each performer will also be on sale throughout the tour. From Bad Brains to Black Flag, this gem won’t be available anywhere else!
