We got such an amazing and surprising review of this band I thought we'd better dig a bit deeper and find out what all the fuss is about - so I listened to some tracks - and what do you know? these guys definitely have something going on here. Unsigned UK say
"so many flavoursome attributes its almost indescribable"
Indeed I guess they are but if you have a listen you're instantly hooked and each track leaves you wanting more.
So who are they and where have they sprung from? Futuro are a 3 piece rock band from Glasgow who began what's obviously set to be a big musical career on New Years Day 2006. So six months on they get themselves a gig at one of the most prestigious festivals - T in the Park - with an accolade like that they have to be good and they have to have something to offer - given that they have both in buckets it seems that these guys really are going places fast.
So what do these guys sound like? - Bloc Party being held at gunpoint by Audioslave and forced to dance! In fact Futuro combine the more traditional styled riff rock of Led Zeppelin and Audioslave, with the catchy, spiky production values of today (Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Maximo Park ). But hey - don't take my word for it check them out for yourselves:
Have a listen to 'Lost In The Mess' - follow it up with 'Rushing' and you'll quickly get what it's all about - check out our gig guide because we think that once you hear them you'll want more.
The band consist of Jon McKellan on guitars and vocals, his brother Graeme McKellan on bass, and their life-long friend Omar Khan on drums. Recording, Mixing & Mastering their releases themselves, as well as handling the design, promotion and website, the band are a truly self-contained multi - talented unit.

Described by Glasswerk as having "a fresh new sound that's sure to bring them major success" and gathering a loyal following not only in the UK , but worldwide, Futuro have embarked on a very busy 2006. Following on from their T in the Park slot they have support slots lined up with The Rakes, The Fallout Trust, The On Offs and what's more they have 2 sold out releases - all this within their first 6 months. We don't think they'll be the support band for very much longer so check them out as soon as you can - we've listed them in our gig guide - get there while there's still tickets.
