A great gig at The Folkhouse in Bristol...
About the performers:
The Heath Robinson
A welcome introduction to Tim from Angel Tech/North Sea Navigator who skewers tiptoeing melodies with a brain-fuzzing arrangement of Waitsian swagger and Victorian menace.

Jukes
Jukes sound like Young Marble Giants interpreting psychedelic folk The vocals add a measured and understated kind of soul, revealing the past of singer Tammy Payne.
She has played for Patrick Duff, Portishead side-project Mckay, and PJ Harvey producer, John Parish. This background makes the Jukes sound eclectic yet classic. Jukes were signed in 2004 to Damon Gough and eclectic DJ producer Andy Votels' label Twisted Nerve, and have an album due in late-February on Triumphant Sound.

Evi Vine
Evi's potent, dark and beautiful tones stretch flesh and sinew over the raw, animal skeleton of the music. Isolation, sex, death, alienation, passion, betrayal and redemption all wend their way into her narrative style. Evi's work is more than just her voice, which is other-worldly in its ability to twist around a piece and really make you believe in what she is singing to you.

Roger Tarry
Tender vocals, effortlessly delivered with gossamer touch, mixed with achingly melancholic melodies. Charming audiences wherever he goes, Rog's live performance creates a mellow air, with deft touches of bass and piano giving his songs the perfect platform to shine. Following a triumphant tour of Germany Rog has fans across Europe with press and radio support, and featured on Radio 1's 'In New Music We Trust'. Debut album 'Last Time I Was There' available on Pink Hedgehog Records. Currently working on new studio tracks with producer Seb Peccia at Riverside Studios (Robert Plant; Jeff Beck)

"Effective string and piano backing for Tarry's tasteful playing and delicate vocals...there's a fragile unworldliness that recalls Nick Drake."
