Powderburn - American Texan Metal!

Powderburn is a name that fans in the underground metal scene have come to recognize and like - quite a lot in fact

This hardcore metal act spawned in October 1998 from guitarist Josh Klayman's fuddled brain while he was living in a small apartment in Austin, Texas. Now they've reached the stage where, with the combined efforts of guitarist Ken Lockman from New Jersey, bassist Greg Enkler and drummer Patrick Swift from New York, Powderburn are quickly making a big impact on the metal music scene.

Powderburn and are getting their name about both nationally and internationally using the power of the internet and living the rock lifestyle with relentless touring.

Hard core rockers who work hard and play hard, Powderburn are bringing their own brand of heavy metal to the masses. These guys have been awarded the title of best metal band in Austin, Texas for three out of the last four years, they've been playing alongside such metal masters as Slayer, The Misfits, Sepultura, and Anthrax. Not a bad pedigree really.

Hard core rock is where its at for Powderburn, they've had a couple of line up changes along the way and now have new management, in true rock style they go for it. So when are you hitting the UK guys?

This American full on metal band crew deliver a blend of metal with ear splitting hard-hitting riffs, because the band vocal sound is vested in three quite different vocal deliveries the end sound can be pretty diverse. The stage presence is all there - these guys do not disappoint and engaging with the crowd is a vital part of the whole Powderburn experience. What are they like eh?

Ken says there must be " flying cars (coming soon or i will kill someone) "

Greg - a proper drinker and smoker! " Well without going into details... I'm no longer allowed in the states of Wyoming, Utah or Idaho"

Josh - a jester or not? " I dislike stupid/annoying animals, reptiles, fish or people"

And as for Pat! " The official word is that we all have girlfriends, and are perfect angels. Say otherwise and I'll punch you in the heart"

Rock and Roll guys - rock and roll

So who are the reprobates that make up Powderburn then?

Greg
Hmmm, a male Piscean - that could spell trouble girls! Likes livin' it large and on the edge -the beer swilling bass player for Powderburn
Josh
The Libran jester of the group. Handling both guitar and vocals - so, the maxim here is - if you ain't up for a laugh you ain't got no soul.

Pat
A smokin', drinkin' hard rockin' Libran drummer who might just indulge in ridiculous, hedonistic behaviour then blame it on the booze!

Ken
A stubborn Taurean eh? he's the colourful and edgy vocalist / guitarist for the Austin, TX based metal band, Powderburn. Rock on!
