Smythe and Taylor - all the way from Houston Texas

Critically acclaimed and going places, this duo who formed in 2000 having quit their jobs in the oil industry in order to devote 100% of their time and effort into making music. They go by the name of TC Smythe and Gary Taylor and they are are kicking off their 2006 world tour at our very own Guildfest festival here in the UK on July 16th.

Smythe and Taylor offer a wide and diverse array of eclectic acoustic music ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, including originals, country, folk, rock, blues and bluegrass.
The duo is known for their tight symbiotic harmonies, their humorous lyrics and 3D guitar playing.
Since 2000 Smythe and Taylor have released 5 CDs. Gary and TC have won several individual songwriting awards, these include HFBSA 's " Song of the Year " - " Songwriter of the Year " - " Lifetime Achievement Award " - the 2005 "Woody Guthrie Song writing Award" - , the Houston Acoustic Jammies, " Best Original Song " and the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric competition. With the world tour about to kick off Smythe and Taylor are going from strength to strength - catch them while they are in the UK at Guildfest on the Surrey Advertiser stage.
