Win a pair of tickets to the new Nuts in May Festival

Competition won by Adrian Crook
This competition is now closed, sorry

Nuts In May is set to be Cumbria’s newest festival and takes place over the bank holiday weekend 4-6 May 2012, just outside Workington. Held on fifty acres of specially landscaped woodland.

Nuts in May has a dedicated arena, owned by the organisers, which means that it is tailor made (mostly by nature) to be beautiful, intimate and relaxing.

You'll love exploring the woodland clearings, just as much as you'll enjoy the entertainment, international food, workshops, arts and crafts.

The covered venues are located to give each one a unique atmosphere, whilst the Jack in the Green (main) Stage is situated within its own tree-lined amphitheatre and there's even a dedicated area just for kids.

You can expect all the usual amenities to help keep you happy, healthy and safe. Fresh water taps are available, the loos will be patrolled by a dedicated team of meticulous cleaners and the arena picked clean each night by the indigenous wombles.

Saturday night is fancy dress night. There is no set theme - that's left up to your imagination but there are prizes for the best fancy dress outfits!

Emma's Imagination, Indian Postal Service, The Lost Padres, Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick, ahab, Rory Connor, The Boat Band, Paul Pearson, The Wierdstring Band, Pikey Beatz, Hazel O'Connor, The Magic Tombolinos, The Baghdaddies, Tarantism, Sean Taylor, Walsh & Pound, Mishaped Pearls, Katus, Earthling Society, Evie Plumb, Free Beer, Nik Kershaw, Megan Henwood, Mad Dog McRea, P45, Five and Dangerous, MJ Hibbett and the Validators, Gus MacGregor, The Martin Harley Band, Ex Lepers, Steam Radio, Federation of the Disco Pimp, Vanya, Yis Aye, Adam Amor, Bob Winter, The Coalhouse Fairies, Cosmic Cat, Dominic Hardy, Gary Kennedy, Gavin McKew, I Am Spartacus, John Hastings' Poetry, Jude Connely, No Soap No Radio, Proudbone Project, Sepia Ghost, Symphonic Pictures, Teenage Mary, The Hoochie Coochie Moonshine Band, The Supergroup, Tom Walker, The Love Shack Crew, Country Club, Strictly Business, Farmyard Noises, Jambeater SoundSystem, Dr Huxtable (Axis SoundSystem), Steve Jah-Vis (One Love Sound), Mister Monster (Monster Monster), DJ Fiah-Don (Urban Antics Carlisle), Big Toes HiFi, Underground Roots SoundSystem, Black Dragon SoundSystem, DubJon (Bear Cub SoundSystem), Criminal Justice Sounds, Cojo (Bushrocker HiFi), Irie Vibes, Apache Hifi, Emjay and Love Kartelr.
