Cancelled Win a pair of tickets to the Rhythm Festival
Sorry folks - this event has been cancelled
This competition is now closed, sorry
Rhythm Festival was founded in 2006 by veteran music promoter and writer, Jim Driver, and was held until 2010 at Twinwood Arena, Clapham, Bedfordshire. It's now got a new home at Old Warden Park in Bedfordshire and this year Rhythm Festival becomes 3 linked festivals.
Safeconcerts have teamed up with festival organisers and can offer one lucky reader a pair of tickets with camping for the Rhythm Festival which is happening over the weekend of 24-26 August. The tickets will give you access to the Rhythm Festival and also to the comedy theatre.
Rhythm Festival aims to be different from other outdoor music festivals by being smaller, friendlier and geared towards the customer.
"Rhythm is a family festival for people who like festivals but who don't like rip-off burgers, terrible food and indifferent booze." Jim Driver
Aside from some great music there's also a great comedy line up on offer featuring John Cooper Clarke, Ardal O"Hanlon, Chris Lynam, Otiz Canneloni, Michael Fabbri, Mike Gunn, Duncan Oakley, Dougie Dunlop and Julian Deane to keep you laughing.
The festival will feature music from Booker T, The Damned, Ardal O'Hanlon, Denis Alcapone (Jamaica), King Mob, The Groundhogs, Here & Now, The Captain Sensible Band, Hank Wangford & The Lost Cowboys, The Magic Tombolinos, Virgil & The Accelerators, The Barker Band, Leatherat, Pearl Handled Revolver. John Cooper Clarke, Crazy World of Arthur Brown, David Rodigan, Boomtown Rats, John Otway Big Band, Delroy Williams & The Junction Band, Mystery Juice, King Hammond, Macavity's Cat, Attila The Sockbroker, Barnstormer, Intensified, Big 10, Hawkwind, The Slackers (USA), The Beat, Three Bonzos & A Piano, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Eddie & The Hot Rods and Swans in Flight among other acts.
All three Rhythm Festivals share better, improved children’s areas, camping and accommodation facilities as well as food stalls and indoor attractions like the Old Dick Theatre, New Literary Lounge, DJ Wheelie-Bag in the Tavern Bar and oodles of Comedy and DJ’s. There will also be three separate “villages”, centred around the Folk Festival Stage, the Rhythm & Blues Stage and the Big Rhythms Stage, with specialised attractions and performances.
Sorry, but the competition is now closed
