Win a pair of tickets to Strummer of Love

Competition won by Karen Pearson
This competition is now closed, sorry

Safeconcerts have teamed up with those great people at Strummerville so we can offer one lucky Safeconcerts member the opportunity to be at this very special festival that's happening from the 17-19th August.

Strummer of Love is a one-off, unique festival to commemorate the late, great Joe Strummer. The event is to be held at a beautiful, secret location in the Blackdown Hills in the Somerset countryside this summer.

More than 'just a festival' this event intends to be one of the most distinctive, enchanting and inclusive experiences on offer this year.

Faithful to the spirit of Strummer’s diverse life and career - as hippy era festivalgoer, folk troubadour, family man, globally feted punk icon and world music explorer Strummerville's work comes in many forms, the main aim of the charity is to give opportunities to people through music who wouldn’t usually have access to such opportunities.

The line up includes The Pogues, Badly Drawn Boy, Frank Turner, Billy Bragg, Roots Manuva, Basement Jaxx (DJ), KT Tunstall, King Charles, Alabama 3, The Farm, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Dreadzone, Emmy the Great, Reverend and the Makers, Don Letts, Mr C, David Rodigan, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, Slow Club, Dog is Dead, Dub Pistols, Man Like Me, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Bastille, The Whip, Joshua Moses, Jim Jones Revue, Fionn Regan, Crazy P, Channel One Soundsystem, Talisman, Fit Les, The Time and Space Machine, Hollie Cook, Josh Kumra, Ska Lavin, Kate Tempest, Yob, Luca C & Brigante, Guy Williams, Parma Violets, Matices Latinos, Dark Moon, Atlantics, The Joker and the Thief, The Validators, The Supernovas, Beans on Toast and Ben Folke Thomas among many others.

The wealth of live music on offer will be complemented by stalls selling ethically sourced fair trade food and outlets highlighting a range of arts, crafts, Strummer memorabilia, alternative therapies, healing and community activism.

You need to be a member to enter the competition and it's really easy to sign up - do remember to activate your account and sign up for our newsletter or your entry wont count. The competition closes on Sunday and we'll need to be able to contact you within 2hrs or the prize will go to the runner up.

For your chance to be part of this event that celebrates the life and legacy of Joe Strummer just answer the following question.
