The Altitude Comedy Festival will see the world’s biggest names in comedy performing over 6 nights at one of the best ski resorts in Europe. Along with venues designed for comedy and cabaret, excellent restaurants, luxurious hotels and enticing spas, Mayrhofen, Austria also offers access to the entire Zillertal super ski area with 639km of piste and 167 lifts and gondolas.

The all-round variety of entertainment at Altitude is impressive. Whether groups of friends on a wild white holiday, a relaxing romantic break or a fun family occasion, the festival caters for everyone’s tastes. There are kids shows and crèche facilities during the day and evening (including the popular Comedy Club 4 Kids), bars and restaurants high above the clouds, an empty 15th century spa, secret backcountry bash’s and an igloo party. A great piste for Fantastic ski-ing or boarding and plenty of piste taking at night with some of the very best and varied entertainment!

Altitude is a unique festival, in breathtaking surroundings guests enjoy a holiday where they’re surrounded by new friends, out together on the slopes all day and enjoying easy banter and laughter every night… Altitude is blessed with stunning alpine peaks, panoramic snow covered plateaus, fragrant pine forests, 200 year old traditionally-built wooden barns and a nightclub made entirely from snow! With 625 KM’s of pistes a 3286m glacier AND an award-winning terrain park, Altitude offers pure powdery perfection.

For total beginners or experienced boarders Altitude Comedy Festival offers a huge glacial resort, perfect for spring skiing. Mayrhofen sits at 630m, with a ski lift that takes you up to 1800m in 12 minutes where there’s plenty of deep snow. A great bonus of going to Mayrhofen for Altitude Comedy Festival is that it;s also nice and warm. Spring rays will mean it’s possible to board or ski in a t-shirt, and hang out on the terraces for food and drink in the sunshine. Of course, no resort in the world can ever guarantee perfect snow, but Mayrhofen does a pretty good job, with the Tux Glacier within easy reach (it has snow 365 days a year), and an army of snow cannons. The Altitude Super Ski Pass offers amazing value, allowing access to the entire Zillertal Super Ski Area - the Glacier, the Vans Penken Park, 639 km of piste and 167 lifts and gondolas - a white winter wonderland of epic proportions and endless pleasurable possibilities!

The Zillertal 3000 ski area has every reason to call itself one of the finest skiing and snowboarding areas anywhere in Europe. With 157 km of slopes, 49 lifts and snow guaranteed to 2,500 metres (that's 8,250 feet, in old money), the region numbers among the top ski areas of the Alps. With sunny and treeless summit slopes, broad carving areas and challengingly steep north slopes, fantastic deep snow areas with cornices, humps, powder runs and fun slopes there is something here for everybody Ð from free skiers'n'boarders, to the vertically-challenged nubies (who should make use of Mayrhofens excellent ski schools).

The village is traditional, with a great alpine feel .. Mayrhofen looks like it's been lifted straight from a chocolate box lid. Add the fantastic choice of Hotels, tons of restaurants, bars, spas, shops and amazing venues...and it all sits tightly in a huge valley. Everything is a stone’s throw away, from the ski lift, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. There is a great vibe throughout the centre with loads of cafe terraces spilling out on the streets.

The accommodation itself is amazing, whatever your budget, whether you book an alpine apartment or a four star hotel, standards will always be better than your expectations. Families own the hotels, and there is a lot of pride in making them the best for the customers. Breakfast is included in all hotel and 2 star B+B packages!.

With over 50 shows and events after skiing this week long comedy, music, ski and snow party is the perfect way to end a day on the hill and in this case the perfect end to the almighty alpine ski season.
