BASS Festival (British Arts and Street Sounds) is the UK’s only month-long celebration of Black Music and Art, and it returns this June for a celebration of urban music and culture. The festival theme for 2014 is Made In Britain.
BASS Festival takes place throughout June at venues across Birmingham, including Custard Factory, mac, Library Theatre, The Public, The Edge, The Drum, The Rainbow and Hare and Hounds.
BASS Festival is produced by Birmingham-based Punch Records, in association with a number of music partners and artists. The festival will work with mainstream and grassroots organisations to deliver a range of new commissions, live performances, art exhibitions, dance and theatre performances, film screenings, and master classes.
A large number of events are free, check the festival website for ticketed events
