Beat Herder
3-5th July 2009

Billed as a festival of the unique and petite - the festival promoters are an independently funded group of friends and have no involvement in corporate organisations or receive any sponsorship. Their sole motive is to bring good people together to have a good time in beautiful surroundings.

Beat-Herder Festival is unique, evolving from the northern underground party scene it is spiced with artistry, musical madness and theatrical nonsense.

The festival is split into five areas with live music, DJ sets and workshops, the Pixie Pictures Cinema, contemporary art, and many other attractions including face painting. There will be plenty of food on offer and a range of stalls and much more.

There's a huge amount of stuff going on at this festival - expect to find the Pixie Pictures Cinema which uses the power of the sun and wind to function and operates in remote areas, there will be contemporary art and plenty of workshops.

There will also be a great advice booth where in the words of the organisers "What we do is fairly simple-
We set up a table and a small typewriter and give advice to those who cross our path in exchange for a gold coin
After or whilst taking in the advice that is given, ‘patients’ are given a lollipop and a typewritten prescription detailing the advice given!"

Huge amounts of fun and many frolicks to be found here!
