THE major event for environmentalists in Europe, the Big Green Gathering is a 5 day camping event which is currently located in the Mendip Hills in Somerset. It has grown out of the original Green Gatherings of the 1980's and the Green Fields of Glastonbury Music Festival.
This five day extravaganza is divided into several themed zones, each contributing to a vision of sustainable living, combined with some of best entertainment in the country, whatever your taste from alternative theatre to carnival and eastern folk. The Big Green Gathering has a GAMA (green access and mobility area) field ensuring that all members of society have equal access to the festival.
