Blissfields is a small intimate festival with a strong family ethos set deep in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This is a festival that is loved by the fans who return year after year and it is also one of those rare commodities - a totally non-commercial festival.
There will be music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun, a riotous open mic session after the main stage closes on the Friday night. Tractor Rides will return - always a firm favourite! There will also be pub price drinks with quality real ales and cider as well as quality food, craft and festival stalls.
New for 2009 - Rule Blissfields!
New for 2009 the festival is running a fun election campaign for any valid ticket holder who wants to be President of The United States of Bliss for the weekend! Although ceremonial position, the winner will have a few duties to carry out, like opening the main stage, and of course they will not want for anything during the festival!
Fancy Dress: The Ambassadors Party
To celebrate the election of the new leader there will be an Ambassadors Party in The Bradley Bubble after the mainstage closes on the Saturday. The theme will be Nations of the World, so you will need to be dressed in the attire of your chosen nation.
Blissfields intends to support awareness and undertake fund raising for their chosen charity which is Practical Action. Blissfields have a green ethos, incorporating recycling, and awareness of environmental issues during the weekend and on their website.
