BLOC is a 6,000 capacity underground electronic dance festival held in an off season holiday park over three nights of a long weekend. BLOC is a powerhouse of dynamic, forward-thinking underground music. Past events have featured rare appearances from Dave Clarke, Amon Tobin, Kode 9, Joey Beltram, Red Snapper and many more.
BLOC is designed to be an internationally visible showcase for the underground scene in the UK,focusing on a dual ethos of fanatical and utter dedication to music on the one hand, and an almighty headbanging rave on the other.
BLOC evolved from a Brighton club night into the biggest and best UK festival of its kind for its Year Zero event – BLOC 07. This sold out six weeks in advance, raising the bar for music programming in the UK and proving that rumours of the death of the underground have been greatly exaggerated.
BLOC is held at the Butlin’s mega-resort in Minehead, near Bristol. In previous years the pleasure taken in the holiday-resort side of BLOC may have been a little tongue in cheek. Butlin’s Minehead features the kind of holiday entertainment fun stuff you can really get your teeth into; It houses the largest water park in the South West, which has a wave pool and a flume that fires you screaming from its jaws at a speed of 40 miles per hour. It has a fun fair with rides that are massive enough to freak you out if you’re the kind to get freaked out by massive rides. And it never, ever rains at BLOC – everyone attending is housed in luxury holiday apartments which surround the main, indoor arenas. It is the utter and the outright elite of holiday parks and we are exploding with joy to be hosting BLOC there.

Ticket Info
Everyone attending BLOC stays in their own private apartments. All tickets include three nights private accommodation, access to all BLOC arenas and all of the resort’s facilities - including the water park!Tickets in standard apartments cost £140 (+booking fee) per person, tickets in apartments with a kitchen and living room are £150 (+booking fee) per person.
