Camp Bestival
30 Jul to 1st August 2010

The Bestival team launched ‘Camp Bestival’ in 2008 and it's proved itself to be a festival to be reckoned with, this one gets the Safeconcerts seal of approval - we can't recommend it highly enough - perfection!

Taking place at the legendary Lulworth Castle and set against the backdrop of England’s dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset, this is a groundbreaking three day camping spectacular par excellence. With an intimate 10,000 tickets on sale only it’ll hark back to the first ever Bestival, where magic moments were shared between special people, creating memories that last forever.

As well as the music there will be much more amazing stuff on offer which includes:
Strummerville - Campfire Sessions (exclusive fireside acoustic sets by major acts), The Knitting Tent, The Insect Circus Stage & Museum, Time For Tease, Kamp Karaoke Night, Underbling & Vow Cockney Knees Up, Dorset Cream Tea Appreciation Society, The Institute Of Physics – Physics In The Field (live science experiments & demos),  The World’s Largest Marching Band plus, of course much Fancy Dress shinanegans

More:
Camp Bestival’s not just about the music because there's just so much more to experience and enjoy at this one – its for friends and family who love the whole camping experience, tailored for kids of all ages and folk up for getting stuck into some of the bountiful fun and entertainment on offer.  You can chill out each evening around the flames of joy as the Campfire Sessions kick off – late night exclusive unplugged sets from some of the acts playing at Camp Bestival - so do remember to bring yer marshamallows!

Of course the whole thing wouldn’t be a Bestival party without some fancy dress fun – so it's your chance to knock em dead and make sure you're all dressed up to the nines and beyond so of course Bestival's dressing up area will be there once again to help folk get themselves dressed up and with the family theme in mind there will also be a separate Kid's dressing up area too! - expect the return of the Restival chill out zone, the Dingly Dell Trail, the Heavenly Healing area, the Groovie Movie Solar Powered Cinema, a Happy Campers area, and of course the return of that Medieval Jousting Mayhem.

And of course there will be some great accommodation options available once again with those luxury tents and tipis, yurts and bivouacs with airstreams and gypsy caravans also available.

Lulworth Castle also has its own Animal Farm so the kids can get close to some of the animals making a host of fun for all the family at this festival. There's a second to none kids area packed with things to keep the kiddies entertained for the whole weekend.

As we said we really rate this festival, it's great for families as well as festival lovers -  and with the Bestival team behind it  you can be sure it will only get better and better - recommended and very highly rated.
