Eastbourne International Folkdance Festival occupies a premier position in the folk calendar. Not only is it the first major Festival of the year, organisers like to think it is one of the best, because it concentrates on just one thing - providing workshops and dances for enthusiasts - and really does it rather well. The majority of the festival takes place in Langney.
All the venues are a short walking distance from each other, as is the canteen for snacks, light meals and the bar. Once you have arrived at the Festival site you can move freely and easily to any workshop or dance, whatever your particular favourites. During the day there will be four workshop sessions, and an afternoon tea-dance. On Friday evening there are three simultaneous dances; on Saturday and Sunday nights there are four, plus special events.
Note: this is a non-smoking Festival.
