Guilfest 13 - 14 - 15 July 2007 - have your say

Winners of the best family / medium festival for two years running - Guilfest is a small independent festival (15,000) entering its fifteenth year. But don't be put off by the thought that it's a small festival - this one's smaller in numbers but HUGE in both what it brings you and how it treats you. It also attracts a fine line up and has an appeal that transcends the expected norm.
There's music and comedy and a very comprehensive kids zone as well as a good range of food available. It's a mellow festival with the emphasis on family and inclusion. The organisers are also very aware of the issues that aggravate festival goers and so this one allows you to bring in plenty of water, you own food and a limited amount of alcohol, they have good facilities for people with different abilities and in a 'shock horror' festival announcement these guys have addressed the toilet issue and so provide proper flushing toilets!

The main stage is sponsored by BBC Radio 2 and tends to attract some great acts - and this years line up is looking really good.

A great festival well worth a visit and with organisers who really do seem to care about their customers - a genuine non commercial quality festival that resists the urge to sponsor themselves up to the hilt but still manages to bring you a major festival to be reckoned with.

Piss poor, oh no, sorry it wasn't was it? there was raw effluent flowing through the site so piss rich would be more apt. Plenty of glass bottles in evidence, lack of effective security.
Surprisingly this one was a joke, no no no, I got that wrong, comics were censored, so no joke there then.
Ah, I get it, the joke was on us!

overall really poor organisation with a lack of facilities and useless security, i saw more glass bottles here than i've seen anywhere else at a festival. not a good one and it was my first and only visit to guilfest.
