Garforth is gearing up for this year’s Arts Festival and promises an exciting and varied festival. Firmly established as a part of the city’s annual cultural calendar, the festival brings a variety of music, dance, drama and comedy to the heart of Garforth.

The event focuses on community involvement, with projects taking place in the months prior to the festival where professional artists & practitioners come into the school to work with local young people. These projects then culminate in performances which take place over a 2 week period, giving young people the opportunity to take to the stage alongside their industry mentors. Around 2000 young people are involved in the festival programme, ranging from primary school age all the way up to sixth form and beyond, with past students often returning to take part once again.
