Glastonbury Festival
23-27th June 2010

The UK's most famous festival is easily recognised by its iconic pyramid stage and is well loved by the thousands of festival goers who opt to return year after year to experience a little touch of magic in the Somerset countryside.

Glastonbury festival is quite special, it's the festival that many have aspired to and many have tries to emulate, after all these years no-one has ever quite managed to capture that certain indefinable ingredient that makes Glastonbury quite so magical and most certainly when it comes to festivals unbeatable.

Glastonbury is set in over 1,000 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside - mystical land that's steeped in history and symbolism, it is the largest Greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. Within that there are many different festivals happening all at once, catering for just about every genre you could hope for.

The thing about Glastonbury is the fact that not only is it  a truly inspirational festival on many different levels, it's absolutely huge and once you're there you find yourself in a completely different world that has several different towns and cities within it.

There's the main commercial centre with loads of outreach towns and communities surrounding it, there's the ever busy bustling and hip metropolis which houses the infamous Pyramid Stage, a little hop, skip and a jump away and you'll find yourself at The Other Stage and The Dance Stages, always bursting with raw energy and awash with revellers - this area of the festival is a heaving mass of excitement and anticipation and it's always alive and kicking.

If you fancy something a tad more on the chilled out side, take a stroll over to the Jazzworld and Acoustic areas and you'll soon find yourself in a totally different town on the outskirts of the city! Oodles to do, lots to see and experience but quite different from the bustling city scene - take your time here, relax and explore a bit.

Got the family with you or just want to be a kid for a while? try zipping on down to the family oriented areas to experience something different, the Kidz Field will keep the youngsters amused and happy for hours while the Theatre and Circus fields are great for the whole family to share.

For a more alternative experience try the Field of Avalon, the Tipi Field, and the Green Fields - so much going on but yet again a completely different festival experience on offer.

Feeling spiritual? right at the top of the site is the Sacred Space - this is really special and embraces celebration and ceremony, celebrate life and joy with many other festival revellers here - the Stone Circle is a glorious sight to behold, especially at dawn and dusk!
