Weird and wonderful delights are to be experienced on the outer limits of the Festival!
Theatre and Circus fill 3 fields at the Festival - Glebeland, East Holts and the Circus Field. More than 1,200 shows take place in these 3 fields over each Festival weekend, ranging from serious mime, drama and dance to every conceivable circus skill, stunning street theatre and some of the weirdest installations and happenings you have ever seen.
You'll find an incredible array of shows, workshops, installations, participative events and street theatre in this area, in fact wherever you turn there will be something to make you roar with laughter or gasp with surprise - the shock factor awaits around every corner and you just don't know what's going to happen next...but you can be sure you'll have fun.
This area is home to such delights as the Glebeland Theatre Field, where you will find what was the Theatre Marquee, now with a new character and a new name - " La Belle Epoque " - as well as the Dance/Fire Stage , lots of ground shows and some great installations. There's an Outside Circus Stage for open air fun and frolics and you'll also find the Cabaret Marquee and the Circus Big Top.
Trash City is a new nighttime area where the weird and wonderful party the night away, go join in, we all need a little weird and wonderful in our lives!
