Global Gathering 25 | 26 July 2008

This is a strictly over 18's event run over 16 arenas and stages and is one of the original dance events. The organisers are pulling out all the stops for this one and are even offering Hot Air Balloon Rides amongst a host of other attractions. If you like your dance with wall to wall entertainment you're gonna love this one!

After selling out every year since the launch in 2001, Global Gathering has become the world's undisputed heavyweight champion of dance festivals. Last year, a whopping 50,000 revellers congregated from all corners of the UK at the renowned Long Marston Airfield over 2 days, creating the biggest dance and live music weekender in 2007. Headliners Faithless and Basement Jaxx nailed the live sets leaving everyone breathless while the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Kissy Sellout, Sasha and many other amazing superstar DJ's rocked and rolled everyone into the small hours.

Global Gathering 2008 promises to be bigger, buffer, and better than any other dance music festival this side of the northern hemisphere. This year’s line up is set to burst at the seams with the hottest and freshest talent this planet has to offer, this is one weekender NOT to be missed.

Event organisers have once again launched this summer’s event prior to announcing any headliners with an increased Earlybird allocation and continue to be amazed at how the appetite for the event continues to grow.

This year, Global will once again up the ante to exceed all expectations to make everyone’s experience a truly unique one. Great live acts, state-of-the-art sound systems and amusement attractions will allow guests to intoxicate themselves on immoral amounts of fun and aural adventure.

Luxury camping a la Cloud 9 will return with some further packages for attendees wanting something that little bit extra.

New for 2008 is a brand spanking new VIP concept and arena which will be built just metres from the main stage and will host a wide variety of entertainment from comedians to burlesque performances amongst other attractions. This covered arena will host 3000 VIP’s with a ‘Golden Circle’ to give the best possible view of the main stage. VIP ticket holders will also have the added bonus of a separate campsite adjacent to the new VIP area situated just metres away from the entertainment. Further benefits will also include car parking close to a separate VIP entrance. Gates will also open an hour earlier for VIPs to ease queuing.

Once again, the line up for this year’s festival will be epic. The musical output will cover the entire musical spectrum of dance from new wave electronica to euphoric trance to pumping drum and bass. Some old favourite arena hosts such as Godskitchen, Bedrock, Polysexual, Electric, Global, Random Concept and Mixmag will be returning this summer alongside a host of summer firsts with Sven Vath’s Cocoon Arena an exciting addition to this year’s program. Further debutants include Raveology, Roger Sanchez's Stealth record label and Spectrum, the biggest and most respected breaks and beats brand on the planet.

Not only will Global be making its annual exodus to Long Marston but this summer see's Global don their international festival hat. June will see Poland feel the force along with Ukraine in July, Russia in August and Turkey and Malaysia. Log onto www.globalgathering.com for more information.
