Guilfest is a small independent festival. But don't be put off by the thought that it's a small festival - this one's smaller in numbers but HUGE in both what it brings you and the performers it attracts, it has an appeal that transcends the expected norm.
There's music and comedy and a very comprehensive kids zone as well as a good range of food available. It's a mellow festival with the emphasis on family and inclusion. The organisers are also very aware of the issues that aggravate festival goers and so this one allows you to bring in plenty of water, you own food and a limited amount of alcohol, they have good facilities for people with different abilities and in a 'shock horror' festival announcement these guys have addressed the toilet issue and so provide proper flushing toilets!
The main stage is sponsored by BBC Radio 2 and tends to attract some great acts.
A great festival well worth a visit and with organisers who really do seem to care about their customers - a genuine non commercial quality festival that resists the urge to sponsor themselves up to the hilt but still manages to bring you a major festival to be reckoned with.
This is a family friendly festival offering something for everyone - great facilities and some good organisation makes this one stand out from the crowd.
