All about Guilfest
Winners of the best family / medium festival for two years running - Guilfest is a small independent festival (15,000) entering its sixteenth year. But don't be put off by the thought that it's a small festival - this one's smaller in numbers but HUGE in both what it brings you and how it treats you. It also attracts a fine line up and has an appeal that transcends the expected norm.
There's music and comedy and a very comprehensive kids zone as well as a good range of food available. It's a mellow festival with the emphasis on family and inclusion. The organisers are also very aware of the issues that aggravate festival goers and so this one allows you to bring in plenty of water, you own food and a limited amount of alcohol, they have good facilities for people with different abilities and in a 'shock horror' festival announcement these guys have addressed the toilet issue and so provide proper flushing toilets!
The main stage is sponsored by BBC Radio 2 and tends to attract some great acts.
A great festival well worth a visit and with organisers who really do seem to care about their customers - a genuine non commercial quality festival that resists the urge to sponsor themselves up to the hilt but still manages to bring you a major festival to be reckoned with.
This is a family friendly festival offering something for everyone - great facilities and some good organisation makes this one stand out from the crowd.
New for 2008 – Campers will be able to pitch up on the Thursday morning and there will be a licensed beer tent in the campsite - so you'll be able to chill out and relax as soon as you arrive.
GuilFest is the perfect family festival where you'll just relax and enjoy three full days of music and laughter. With three days, seven stages and over 200 bands performing over the weekend you can be sure of wall to wall entertainment at this one.
