This brand new festival is aimed at families and teenagers with entertainment that will appeal to all generations. It is in the early planning stages but is expected to feature two full days of music (with a possibility of something being put on for the Sunday)
This initiative is the result of a partnership between Reading Borough Council (RBC) and Heavenly Planet UK Festivals - a company jointly owned by rock festival organisers Festival Republic, and Thomas Brooman CBE, previously Artistic Director of WOMAD.
The festival plans to feature world music and is set to happen on the old WOMAD site at Rivermead in Richfield Avenue. There is talk of using the nearby Rivermead Leisure Centre as a possible indoor venue and suggestions that the site will house two big top tents with stages of equal size, camping will be available as well as a food court concept, celebrating food from around the world.
