Liverpool Sound City
19-22nd May 2010

Liverpool Sound City was launched in May 2008 and in their first year welcomed an audience of over 25,000 people from over 10 different countries.  These ranged from music business ‘folk’ from all levels and areas of the NW and world industry.

By day they basked in the absolute splendour of Hard Days Night Hotel where all manners of issues and topics were hotly debated and fiercely argued.  By night all differences were set aside as they mixed it up on the dancefloors in over 20 venues with literally thousands of other music lovers.

In 2008 Sound City welcomed over 300 bands and artists from all over the world with the emphasis being on new and zeitgeist.  Highlights included Santogold, Hercules and Love Affair,  Glasvegas, Hadouken, Reverend and the Makers, Laura Marling, The Whip, Port O’ Brien, Crystal Castles, Ladyhawke and those scouse terriers The Wombats.

In  2009 they partnered up with Musexpo (LA) to deliver a truly world class conference and they unleashed  ‘The Trial’ -  a brand new way of conferencing specifically aimed at the young chameleons and starmakers of tomorrow.  This was staged in the splendid setting of the Victorian Law Courts in St Georges Hall.

2010 looks sure to build on previous successes as the event gears up once again to draw in an audience of over 35,000 industry professionals, music lovers and aspiring and upcoming artists over 3 days and nights of musical indulgence and education.
