Liverpool Summer Pops
2-31st July 2010

The month long Summer Pops Festival takes place across venues in the City this July, at the Echo Arena, 02 Academy, The Bluecoat and The Philharmonic.

“From small acorns we plan to turn the Indie Weekender into a major City wide festival over one weekend in July and be part of the great month long Festival that Summer Pops has become.... Green field festivals have their place but downtown in the best music city in the world... How good will that be? "
Chas Cole - organizers CMP Entrtainment

The Pops offers not only the big names but also grass roots acts, with new home grown and international talent. The festival will also be hosting fringe events throughout the month, these will be held at different venues within the City with an eclectic range of shows on offer.

The roster of acts since it began reads like a who's who of contemporary music, including Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Sir Elton John, Eric Clapton, Bryan Adams, Meat Loaf, Ray Charles, Tom Jones, Lionel Ritchie, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, James Brown, The Who, Paul Weller and dozens more.
