Next Big Thing Festival
5-14th February 2010

Brand new for 2010 is HMV's Next Big Thing which is to be held in a number of London venues and will run between Friday 5th and Sunday 14th February 2010.

The Next Big Thing aims to showcase the best new talent from the UK, Ireland and around the world through an annual, multi-venue festival, giving music fans an early and affordable opportunity at the start of each new year to catch some of the hottest acts tipped for breakthrough success. The festival is London-based but aims to develop into a nationwide event in time. It also has a remit to support different music genres, ranging from Indie & Rock to Folk & Jazz and from Pop & Electronica to Hip Hop & Grime.

Over 60 artists drawn from across the musical spectrum have signed up to perform in the inaugural 2010 festival, each venue will host three acts per night and all gigs will be priced at £10. The venues for these events are the Borderline, the Camden Barfly, Heaven, the Jazz Café, the Relentless Garage and ULU.

Looks like quite an event!
