A brand new festival is set to take place in 2010 at one of the legendary Butlins holiday complexes. Playaway aims to bring you a good old fashioned balmy beautiful seaside jaunt. Imagine old school British Holiday capers with a twist of contemporary chic and you’ll get an idea of what the world of Playaway is all about.

A great line up is being put together and the first acts confirmed for 2010 are Calvin Harris, Scouting For Girls, Noisettes, Chase & Status DJ’s & MC Rage, Sub Focus & MC I.D, I Blame Coco And Tiffany Page with many more still to be announced!

Aside from the music you can expect to find plenty of entertainment and activities to keep you occupied all weekend long - there will be nautical activities, 'Let's get quizzical' with The Sounds Familiar Music Quiz, it will be scores on the doors with the most dangerous form of bingo - The Underground Rebel Bingo Club, Swap-a-rama Razzmatazz and an on-site cinema.
There will be themed days and sing-along-Sound of Music with a John Hughes blockbusting bonanza of a Sunday to round things off nicely!

There will be a range of apartments on offer as well as some VIP themed rooms and with the event being set in Butlins there will be a range of facilities available including plenty of food outlets, take away's and restaurants, a medical centre, ten-pin bowling, free parking, a supermarket, splash pool, hydro spar and splash pool. There's plenty of free parking and the beach is very close for those beachside walks.
