Priddy's annual folk festival is a charity run by volunteers, either for their love of Folk music, their love of Priddy - or both, with the proceeds going to help good causes via the Priddy Charity Trust.
There's three venues providing nine concerts, two Ceilidhs and the legendary Late Night Dance. A Club Tent and Open Mic Sessions with Emerging talent introducing themselves to the festival. Informal Sessions as both pubs will be heaving with musicians playing their hearts out.
You'll also find a Dance Festival with Morris, Maypole, Appalachian and more, a Children's Festival with juggling, story telling, puppets and face painting, a Craft Fair, Wood-turning, Pottery, Weaving, and a carefully selected mix of traders with a varied and interesting range of food, real ales & scrumpy, plus there's on-site camping and a large parking field.
The festival committee is made up of volunteers from Priddy and local people interested in folk music. Any monies raised are either put back into the festival or contributed to the village charity and each year the committee invite local organisation to make bids.
