Due to the growth in audience numbers in recent years the event is being extended to run over two days and will now feature more music and entertainment than past events. The festival is a fun day out for the whole family and aims to offer something for audiences of all ages.
The festival features 6 stages of live music which will bring more than 150 musicians, over 40 bands and artists to Stamford and the Riverside stage will be the main festival stage for the Saturday featuring a wide variety of music from local bands and guest artists from across the UK.
The Sunday Riverside Stage is a new addition and will feature an eclectic mix of world, classical, blues, jazz and progressive music from local bands and orchestras.
The Marquee Stage will be dedicated to indie, emo, metal, rock, thrash and nu and old skool punk music and the Acoustic Stage will be providing a platform for acts that have an acoustic, folk, jazz, world and blues influence.
The festival also features a Buskers Stage which is a more spontaneous and informal affair where artists can pre book a 20 minute slot to play or just turn up on the day and try and secure a vacant slot to perform
The Beer Festival is a festival within a festival and run in conjunction with the Bourne Round Table. A wide range of real ales and ciders are available to and the bar is 200’ long! The proceeds from the bar are split 50/50 between Riverside to help with the cost of staging the event and Bourne Round Table who distribute their funds to local charitable causes.
There's a wealth of other entertainment to be found around the site - This is Art Stage will have cheerleading, dance, poetry, belly dancing, theatrical singing, acro dance, magic, tap dancing, illusions, comedy, ballet, string quartet, mime, medieval comic acting, & acoustic musicians
This is Art Exhibition brings photography, poetry and short stories from the 'Riverside Be Creative' competitions, Huge Art is an area where you can help to create a unique giant ‘Riverside’ canvas by painting your part of the jigsaw
There will be storytelling and performances for children, families and adults, there will also be children’s workshops with african drumming, african dance, indian and asian arts & crafts as well as children’s entertainment featuring clowns, stilt walkers, punch & judy, face painters, trampolines and more.
The Saturday finale will feature a fabulous firework display and the Sunday finale will bring a surprise finish to Stamford's 10th Anniversary celebrations.
Riverside is operated by a small team of volunteers comprising a registered charity who run the event on a not-for-profit basis.

There is no formal admission charge for this event but voluntary donations are positively encouraged to help with the costs of staging the event. The event is run by a charitable company on a not-for-profit basis by local volunteers.
Please Note
To ensure the safety of everyone attending the event No Alcohol is allowed to be taken onto the site. For this reason no open drinks containers including plastic water bottles are allowed to be taken onto the site.
Alcoholic drinks are available from the on site bar, ID will be required for over 18’s in line with the Challenge 21 campaign.
The site also has a No Glass Policy, and local fire regulations do not permit fires or barbeques anywhere on the festival site.
