Standon began as a birthday party for founder Alex Trenchard, who wanted to create an intimate weekend of ultimate fun for his friends. Standon grew solely by word of mouth and now people visit from all over the UK for its friendly atmosphere and killer line-up.

Set in the grounds of a 16th century home in beautiful countryside at Ware in Hertfordshire Standon Calling is a great and small independent music festival with no branding and no sponsorship, it boasts the most fun and promises to be the most fabulous summer party of the year.Kids can expect an interactive fun filled experience with the emphasis on education and discovery.

The toilets at Standon have wooden doors, paintings on the walls and lights round the mirrors. Yes honestly - organisers are certain they are even better than your one at home!

There are also top secret areas at Standon which change each year and revellers are unexpectedly led there when they least expect it..but despite that you can actually walk around the whole festival site in under half an hour!
