The Edge Festival
1-31st August 2009

Since 2001, DF Concerts and former partners Tennent’s Lager brought artists as diverse as Kanye West, Razorlight, Nancy Sinatra, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Micheal Franti and the Pixies to T on the Fringe catering for a staggering 130,000 music fans each year.  This year brings another eclectic line up to the mix...

After picking up last year from where T on the Fringe left off, this year’s Edge Festival marks the 10th anniversary of a dedicated popular music programme at the Edinburgh Festival, and promises a storming month-long series of gigs throughout August featuring the very best in established favourites, leftfield acts and ones-to-watch.

“Last year’s Edge festival was a huge triumph, expanding upon the successful formula we established with T on the Fringe. With the festival now in its tenth year, The Edge is an integral part of the Edinburgh Festivals experience, something that is reflected in the quality and variety of acts it continues to attract. This year’s Edge line-up is the most diverse yet, bringing together a wide range of different artists, all drawing on an extensive array of influences and musical styles.”
