Quote from Debbie L - 11th Jan 2011 15:36 View
I still havent received my refund promised on 4th November which does make me wonder about the company. Although BLC have emailed me on numerous occasions to say they are looking into it I have little faith as this has taken an extremely long time. BLC - how simple can it be to contact your bank and issue a refund?

Debbie - emails are easy to ignore - PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE PHONE. I phoned about 5 times on the first day and twice the day after (as I was back at work that day) and I got my refund quite quickly (see post no 260 for my previous very lengthy post!) Imagine if you were the scammer, you can sit an click delete to emails all day without much effort or bother, it would be much more bothersome to you if a customer kept phoning you as you can't ignore them, and also, you are tying up their ticketline every time you do so!

Remember the old saying, "The baby that cries loudest gets fed first". Time to be a loud baby!

Hope it works - let us all know if you get anywhere

Karen

hi i was one of the first people on this thread so contacted blc the next day by phone and email to ask for a refund. Luckily i had my money back in a week minus a couple of pounds. They sent me from pillar to post but i bugged the hell out of them till i got what i wanted i rang them and emailed them at every opportunity i had and i wasnt going to give up without a fight. my advice is to ring and ring until you get your money bk. people like them should not be allowed to get away with it, make sure you report your concerns to the relevant authorities.

THIS IS A SCAM

I ordered tickets for Usher in September, yesterday (24.01.2011) they anounced on the phones by auto vmail that we will not be getting them, they have had problems with the bank and they will not be able to offer the tickets or a refund - Joke!!!! I have spoken to a few people who re-assured me that the bad press was rubbish and everything was ok, they lied.  I have spoken to two names recently Karina and spoke to Kate on the morning off the 24.01 who said not to worry. Please call 02033710576 which explains why you wont be getting them and the exuse about the bank.  Today I have called 0203 8090 0391 and its on vmail to say operators are busy and to leave a message (more like bust) what company offers a v/mail?? this has been like this all day.  The finance line 020 8090 2372 is just ringing out.  The website is also not allowing bookings.  All I can do is contact the bank.  Good luck everyone.

The only good thing to come out of this is the fact that they are not accepting any more bookings, so at least nobody else can get scammed by them.

If you paid by credit card, then you WILL get your money back.

Last time I looked there were still tickets for sale on Ticketmaster.

I am no expert, but I believe there is some way of getting your money back if you paid by Debit Card. I am sure that someone who is more knowledgeable than me will post some practical advice on this forum for you.
Good luck!

If you paid by Visa Debit and the date of the event has come and gone and you have not received what you have paid for, ask your debit card issuer to perform a chargeback

On reading what has happened to Paul20e, I am so glad that we acted when we did and that THEY gave us our money back, not our credit card company covering their backsides (and them getting away scott free).

Good luck to Paul and everyone else - keeping fighting!

Hi Kay,

If you read the other posts on this thread I think you will agree that this is indeed a scam. Keep checking the thread because I am sure someone with more expertise than me will advise you what to do next. I think if you have paid with a credit card there is no problem getting your money back. - don't take my word for it - wait until an expert tells you what your next move should be.

Have had a quick check on the Ticketmaster site, and there are still some great seats available for the concerts at the O2, so if I were you I'd jump onto the site and buy some pronto!

If you originally paid with a credit card I am more than sure you'll get a refund through your bank. And I am sure someone else will post some advice on here telling you where to report them.

Ticketmaster are totally safe (see the green list on this website). I'm sure there are still tickets available, and I bet they'll cost you a lot less than you paid in the first place.

Kay - I'm so sorry to hear what's happened, If you paid by credit card you will be able to get the money refunded. If you paid by debit card it's more complicated. Check out the info we have on the ticket safe part of the site - it should help - here's a link to some more info

Why would you want Kay to post the email on the forum?

So we can see exactly what they are sending out, same as other people have done here when other people have been sent emails by these types of sites

It is always helpful to see if consumer protection legislation is being abused or not, as was the case in previous emails posted here
