Donovan added to St Ives Festival
60's icon Donovan headed to St Ives this September
The St Ives September Festival have announced today that 1960s folk singer and songwriter Donovan will be appearing at the Festival on September 16th 2010 at the St Ives Guildhall, supported by singer/songwriter Kirsty McGee.
Donovan had an early association with St Ives, as a beatnik in 1962 and 4 years later making an ITV documentary 'A Boy Called Donovan' for ITV.
Famous for his songs such as Sunshine Superman, Mellow Yellow, Catch The Wind and Sunny Goodge Street - Donovan was thought of for a time as the British Bob Dylan but went on to carve his own niche in the Country's popular culture.
This is expected to be one of the fastest sell-outs in the history of the festival, so if you want to be part of Donovan's historic return to St Ives, don't delay.
Tickets are priced at £25.
