The Straits headed for Cornbury Festival
Comedy tent line up with Sean Hughes, Jarred Christmas and more
With just a month to go to the festival Cornbury have announced new additions for this year's line-up.
First up and fresh from their recent triumph at The Royal Albert Hall, The Straits, comprising former members of the supergroup, Dire Straits, will perform a one hour show of Dire Straits' greatest hits on Cornbury's main stage on Sunday 3rd July. They join the mighty Status Quo and the irresistible Olly Murs for a fantastic festival finale.
The Absolute Radio Comedy Tent brings a mesmerising comedy line-up to provide big laughs and an authentic comedy festival experience, the tent will be hosted by antipodean joke machine, Jarred Christmas.
Comedy stand-up acts include Josh Widdecomb (winner of FHM Stand-up Hero, Stand-up for the week); Elis James (Dave's One Night Stand); Ed Gamble (Dave's One Night Stand); Sara Pascoe (Campus, Free Agents); Holly Walsh (Michael McIntyres' Comedy Roadshow); Tony Law, Jason Cook, and comedy legend, Sean Hughes.
Musical comedy will include Frisky and Mannish; Abandomen; and IsySuttie (Peep Show, Dave's One Night Stand); plus Gareth Richards along with double act, Cardinal Burns.
Other musical gems added to the line-up include the hotly tipped Vintage Trouble; local heroes, Little Fish; and Jackson Scott's combo, Mano de Dios.
