New Found Glory, The Blackout, Flogging Molly and more confirmed
Glasgow is set for a summer rock takeover when the second consecutive Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation Festival comes to town from 22nd – 29th August. Whilst Edinburgh feasts on the Fringe, Glasgow will be getting down and dirty with the likes of New Found Glory, The Blackout, Face To Face, Flogging Molly and a truly special one-off show from The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx.
Kicking off proceedings with an intimate show at The Garage are New Found Glory on 22nd August. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation show will be a warm up for the band’s Reading and Leeds Festival slots and give their Scottish fans the chance to experience their incredible live show.
24th August sees Welsh rockers The Blackout take to the stage at the city’s ABC. Latest album ‘Hope’ hit the number 1 spot in the UK rock album chart in early 2011 and the band are currently on tour in Europe. The band’s last two dates in Scotland were both sell outs so fans should buy fast to avoid disappointment!
The first of a string of shows to be announced at King Tut’s over the festival period is Face To Face on 25th August. Returning to Scotland after a number of years, these Californians release their latest album ‘Laugh Now…Laugh Later’ on 17th May.
Seven-piece Irish-American punk band Flogging Molly release their latest album 'Speed Of Darkness' on 31st May and will play The Garage on 25th August.
Rounding things off on 26th August at The Garage are The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx. This show will be a rare treat for fans of these innovators and will be the first time the band has performed both their Bronx Material as well as the Mariachi set in Scotland. Both acts will play full sets with a break in the middle.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation will be sure to inject a healthy dose of rock into the summer!
