Solstice Celebrations at Sunrise
Extra day and special Solstice Ceremony available for first 1000 Sunrise ticket holders to apply
Sunrise Celebration Festival is set to be a fantastical, magical and mystical party and with a cornucopia of pixie antics, circus aerobatics and musical shenanigans all packed together into four days, or even five for those lucky golden ticket holders which will be issued to the first 1000 people to apply! There are still 400 places available for the extra night and the only cost involved is a £5 charitable donation paid on arrival at the event to The Natural Communities Foundation, who will use the money to fund environmental and educational projects supported by Sunrise.
The Gilcombe Farm gates will be creaking open at dusk on the eve of 20th letting in the fairies, freaks and medley makers to the world of infinite possibility that is Sunrise festival.
There will be a solstice ceremony held by Jonathan Cainer, one of the UK’s leading astrologers, at Dawn around the specially built, astrologically aligned stone circle in the new Serenity Field.
In a tradition that goes back 1000’s of years, the gathering of communities to celebrate the mysticism of life, will mark the solar cycle.
Fire shows, dancing and fireside jamming will also mark the occasion, along with the opening of the Sunrise visionary art temple, the Temple of Unity, featuring the art of some of the country’s most prolific visionary artists.
Another new arrival is that little gem, The Smallworld Solar Stage. The large crowds and great roosty music floating out across the air will have drawn in anyone who has wandered around the Glastonbury Green Fields and happened upon it in. Always a great vibe and THE place to meet, Sunrise are delighted to welcome them in and look forward to announcing the first wave of Line ups on ALL the stages very soon!!!
