Dizzee is the first of 3 new acts to be announced this week

Mercury prize winning Dizzee Rascal has been confirmed for Snowbombing 2012 replacing Snoop Dog who cancelled a few weeks ago -  Dizzee is the first of three fantastic fire-crackers to be announced this week!

Dizzee Rascal will headline the The party in the Eristoff Forest on Friday night. Dizzee is no stranger to the mountains, having blown the crowd away at Snowbombing 09 when he played ‘Bonkers!’ for the first time live and proceeded to shake the snow off the trees!

With Snoop Dog having canceled his European tour and missing out on the greatest snowy show of his life Snowbombing HQ were faced with the task of finding a new headline act for the festival this year.

‘I can't wait to get back to Snowbombing the last time was wicked but this time will be even better headlining the Forest stage. I've got a few new ones to try out on ya and this time I'm actually going to learn to snowboard!'

Dizzee Rascal fuses the underground urban scene with arena-filling spectacular showmanship and an explosive approach to performance…a nu-rave recipe which has seen his gregarious UK grime flava being ecstatically exported to all corners of the globe. Now the Mercury award-winner will play the headline set at Snowbombing 2012 in Mayrhofen, Austria and bring his unique brand of grime, old skool hip hop, jungle, rave and heavy metal to the snowy peaks…’Bonkers!’

Mayrhofen will be completely taken over for a week long party of hedonistic adventure and extreme sport. The resort also boasts some of Europe’s most lavish spas so you can relax and enjoy the amazing spring sunshine and snowy mountains of one of Europe’s most snow-sure, late season winter resorts. The nearby Tux glacier (Austria’s highest lifted point) is also only a short (free) bus ride away, and although open all-year round, it’s at its best in spring.

Prices start from £289 for accommodation and all the entertainment.
