Folk Superstar to open Whitby's new Festival
The new Whitby Sea Festival have announced that Martin Carthy will headline the Friday evening concert at the Resolution Hotel.
The multi – award winning artist has been one of the folk music scene’s leading lights for over 40 years. A great singer and guitarist, who can claim to have influenced Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, Martin continues to be an inspiration to many folk musicians all over the world. Despite his huge appeal, he continues to champion folk clubs and is equally at home in a stadium or more intimate venue, winning over audiences with his awe inspiring skill, easy charm and warm stage presence.
