Two deaths at WOMAD Festival

Police have confirmed that two WOMAD festival-goers died at the weekend.

There were two deaths at this weekend's WOMAD festival, a man in his 50s who was taken to hospital where he died from natural causes, a woman also died on the festival site, neither deaths are believed to be suspicious and police are not investigating the deaths.

The man collapsed on site on Friday morning and was taken to the Great Western Hospital, the woman who died was also in her 50s and is thought to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

WOMAD took place at Charlton Park, Malmesbury, Wiltshire Police have stated that WOMAD had very little crime with ten arrests made over the weekend, most were drug-related.
