In 2005, Welwyn Garden City three-piece, The Subways crashed onto the UK rock scene with their, now cult, debut album ‘Young For Eternity’ and international party mix tape classic ‘Rock & Roll Queen’. Five consecutive years at Reading & Leeds festival along with appearances at Glastonbury and T in the Park quickly cemented their reputation as festival favourites.
The legendary Dr and The Medics rose to fame in the 1980's and are best known for their No. 1 hit 'Spirit in the Sky'. Dr and The Medics will be performing an upbeat and flamboyant set including well loved classic covers such as Timewarp, Kids in America, I'm a Believer, Proud Mary, She Sells Sanctuary and not forgetting 'Spirit in the Sky'.
'We are delighted to be able to announce these big name artists for the festival, the 2012 line up has a diverse mix of local, young and independent bands as well as more mainstream acts such as Tinchy Stryder. 'Not only are we dedicating a lot of time to securing our line up but we've also invested a lot into improving attractions across the whole site. We hope that this combined with our low ticket prices ensures an affordable but equally fantastic festival for all members of the family, and there's still even more bands to be announced!'.
