Lower Than Atlantis, Senser, The Dangleberries and many more acts announced today

Cockermouth Rock Festival better known as 'CockRock' have just released the latest acts joining the Cumbrian event this year.

The Kings of Cool aka the Fun Lovin Criminals head up the list with Lower Than Atlantis, Senser, The Dangleberries, Top Boy Around Here, Benjamin Bloom, Jakarta Club, Memoria, The Conspiracy, Claire Jackson, Missarioty, Cinnamon, Chemical Fiction Uk, Jord Kewen, Deadmans Tequila, 2Twenty, State Of Reality , Emma Dockeray, Holding Dominion And Over And Out all now confirmed.

'We are delighted to be able to announce these additions to the line up and are thrilled to include Fun Lovin' Criminals as our team are big fans. With these additions we feel that CockRock is able to appeal to all members of the family from Buzzcocks right through Tinchy Stryder. We've also released a lot of local acts for the festival as we feel strongly about supporting them and have ensured as always that a large proportion of the line up reflects this. We've had a great reaction to the line up so far and really hope everyone joins us for a fantastic weekend'.
Clint Stamper, Chairman of CockRock

Fun Lovin Criminals were formed in New York in 1993 by nightclub-working colleagues Huey and Fast, FLC gate-crashed the euphoric Britpop party in 1996 and brought along some unexpectedly unique swag, the generational classic album ‘Come Find Yourself’ which gave us the cackling refrain “stick ‘em up punk, it's the Fun Lovin Criminal” and the Pulp Fiction–sampling ‘Scooby Snacks’.

Hertfordshire quartet Lower Than Atlantis are ready to take on all corners. With only a little over a year since the release of their critically lauded debut album ‘Far Q’; LTA have ascended from UK underground scene obscurity to mainstream radio & TV exposure, with high profile UK, European & North American tours, festivals & all manner of end of year list accolades in the national music press.

Senser are a politically charged UK band who's musical style has most often been classified as rap rock. In 1993 Senser released two indie chart topping singles on Ultimate — "Eject" and "The Key" — and during the summer they played most of the major festivals. The band found themselves on stage alongside Rage Against the Machine (with whom they were compared), The Levellers and Chumbawamba. The band are currently working hard on a new Senser album.

These new acts will join: Tinchy Stryder, Buzzcocks, The Subways, Dr & the Medics, The Lottery Winners, Chris Helme, Pikey Beatz, Goldie Lookin Chain DJ's Rhys and Eggsy, Dub Pistols Soundsystem DJ & MC Set, Albany Down, Alex Elliott, Awol, Cat Like Thief, Collision, Colt45, Committed to Rock Choir, Crow Dog, Daddysmilk, Five and Dangerous, Flick, Gavin Mckew, Highly Strung, House of Three Hands, Jeramiah Ferrai, Karl Phillips & the Midnight Ramblers, Leroy Johnson & the Flicks, Mama-Sang and the Robot, Obrigado, Room 101, Rossi Noise, Secure Unit, Sneaky Finch, Solway Deltas, Southgate and Leigh, Teenage Mary, The Indices, The Lights, The Stiggz, The Sun Explodes, Tin Soldiers and Vertigo.

Many more acts for the festival are still to be announced including full line ups for Tent 42, Jambeater Reggae Tent, The Session Stage and The Dance Tent. There's even a very special guest just confirmed for the festival who will be announced in the next couple of weeks…oh - a teaser!
