Rochester Castle concerts announce The Wanted as one of the final acts for this year's series of shows
80's event with Tony Hadley, ABC and Go West also confirmed
Castle Concerts are a series of four concerts held at Rochester Castle, Kent and the 2013 events will happen from Wednesday 17th until Saturday 20th July.
The Wanted will perform on Thursday, 18 July. The band has notched up four anthemic top five singles and two number ones, and been viewed more than 30 million times on YouTube. The boys are back in town with hits including All Time Low and Glad You Came, plus tracks from their new album Third Strike.
It’s time to party on Friday, 19 July as an 80's theme brings 80s Night with Tony Hadley, ABC, and Go West. As lead singer of Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley has earned the accolade of being one of pop music’s greatest vocalists, fronting countless smash hits including Gold, Lifeline and Through The Barricades.
More than 30 years since their iconic debut album The Lexicon of Love, Martin Fry and ABC will be showcasing hits like Tears are not Enough and Poison Arrow, while Go West’s Peter Cox and Richard Drummie will get the crowd rocking to their massive 80s hits including Call Me and Don’t Look Down. Britpop rockers The Fortunate will support.
Previously announced for Castle Concerts this year are Status Quo on Wednesday, 17 July 2013 and the Castle Proms with The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and special guests plus a firework finale.
Tickets for the event cost £35 and are on sale from the 4th March.
