Prince rains on touts' parade by postponing tickets before release

In a welcome move from the artist he pulled the tickets from his latest tour from sale and started a Twitter backlash

An hour before Prince's tickets for his latest UK tour went on sale on Ticketmaster they were "mysteriously" marked as "currently not on sale". The mystery was quite easy to solve, even allowing for a huge assumption, when this tweet appeared on Prince's Twitter feed:

It doesn't take the brains of an Archbishop to realise that something has gone on behind the scenes that has made Prince as frustrated by touts as we've been for years.

How these tickets will eventually go on sale is anyone's guess at the moment, but we hope that this helps to highlight the huge problem that genuine fans have getting hold of face value tickets when they have to contend with touts hoovering up all their tickets.

We'll be watching to see what route he chooses and whether any other artists have the guts to follow suit.
