Blissfields add more acts to the 2016 line-up

Swim Deep, Norman Jay, Honne and Logan Sama and more

Blissfields is returning for its 16th year this summer with a huge line-up which just got much bigger with a whole new announcement. The event has confirmed the addition of Birmingham’s psychedelic pop outfit Swim Deep, warehouse party pioneer DJ Norman Jay MBE, and London’s producer duo Honne amongst a host of other new acts added to the bill.

Following the announcement of headliners Dizzee Rascal and Everything Everything, Blissfields have also unveiled Mercury Prize winner Roni Size (with Dynamite MC), DJ / producer Shy FX, UK’s foremost emerging hip hop artist Loyle Carner, BRITs Critic Choice Award nominee Frances, and BBC Sounds of 2016 nominee Billie Marten, as part of one the festival’s most diverse and beat-rich line-ups to date. 

A brand new and huge art installation will adorn the center of the “Our House” – house party-themed festival, accompanying The Bay, a brand new for 2016 sandy beach with boat parties and a DJ set by The Bees. 
 
At The Manor you'll find Dizzee Rascal, Everything Everything, Shy FX, Swim Deep, Honne, Loyle Carner, Rationale, Melt Yourself Down, Spring King, Frances, Beans on Toast, Billie Marten, Dub Pistols, Jones and Isaac Gracie.

At The Den will be Norman Jay MBE, Roni Size & Dynamite MC, Drones Club, Sundara Karma, Subgiant, Blaenavon, Blue House, Bully Bones, Cassava, Flight Brigade, Josh Savage, LST, One Step Too Late, Screaming Peaches, Silent Forum, The Diamond Age and The Lost Boys.

The Den have teamed up with an agency to host a special 'takeover' of the big top on Thursday night. For one night only, the festival will welcome 'The Now Stage' that will be hosted and curated by This Is Now, who will stage performances from Molotov Jukebox, Son of Dave, Too Many Ts, Will Varley, The Church and Frankie Forman and more, as part of their programme to kick Blissfields off in style.

The Blisscotheque double decker Routemaster bus will be taking a mix of the old school and freshest urban performers til dawn, accompanied as always by a loaded cocktail bar. This year’s acts taking to the literal wheels of steel include  Logan Sama, Barely Legal DJ, FooR, Ønly, Shorebitch, Big Chief Yella Teeth, BITR8, Blushed, Damaged Goods, Deadproud, Fervent, Guy Hauben, Juturna, Kidd, K1R3Y, Naina, Morgan Hislop, Ratzi, $ugar Danny, The Great One, Unattached and Yes Tom (Soho Radio).

The Hidden Hedge are back at Blissfields with their most ambitious space yet, building a dystopia within utopia… crash-landing its full sized Boeing cockpit installation into a new VJ stage, Serial Killaz top their music bill, other acts include Cauldronated, Dub Pistols DJ Set, Gypsy Disco, Dataline, Mini da Minx, Mary Miss Fairy, Subgiant Sound System, Alex the Kidd and Jetpack Assassin, Born in a Barn: Joe Publik, MR GRN and Leaf, Chromatouch, Circo Inferno, Co:Lateral, Dah Rhyl Gah Moor, Dan Hayes, Danzai Diarmo, Doktor Mohlberg, KMP, Matteo, MOK, Nick Onley, Science of Eight Limbs, Seb Marx, Shuddervision presents Digits mcphee and guests including Dean Dubba Hall and MC Mike Wiley, The Tribe, The Urbanizer, VJ L'Aubine and Zuu Music.

The opening hours of The Larch are extended once again, introducing for the first time a Silent Disco feat Blissfields resident movie buffs Soundtracks. They’ll be battling for your ear late into the Friday night with their usual mix of movie anthems, rock n roll standards and pop bangers while Saturday welcomes The Line Of Best Fit verses their 2015 “record label of the year” and Blissfields regulars Transgressive (Soundsystem). Acts here will include Ambrose, Andy Comley, Ethan Ash, Felix Hagan, Gabby Colledge, Gecko, Glass, Harry & the Gondolas, Head North, Jack Williams, Jake Gauntlett, Josh McCormick, Junco Shakers, Rich Lown, Sam Brothers, Tusks, Wyldest, Scandinavia Showcase: Jonas Alaska, Nadia Nair, R.A.B.B.I.I., Beans on Toast presents: Songs From Small Towns, Silent Disco: Soundtracks Soundclash, The Line of Best Fit vs Transgressive Soundsystem, Music Box Presents: Crippled Rock, Gypsy Jukebox, Badgers and Willowen.

An entirely brand new area for 2016, The Bay will take Blissfields to the beach for a summer fling. Spend wet hot hazy days on the pier, sand at your feet and ice cream in hand, before the deckchairs make way for a houseboat party after dark. Nothing but good vibrations and big floppy hats. Music will be provided by The Sound of The Bees (The Bees DJ set) and Z List DJs.

 
All early birds and initial tier tickets are now sold out, final tier tickets are on sale now.
  • Weekend Adult (17yrs +): £105.45 inc. BF and litter bond
  • Weekend Youth (10-16yrs): £85.45 inc. BF and litter bond
  • Weekend Child (under 10yrs): Free No Booking Fee (nominal fee of 1p)
  • Weekend Family Ticket (2 Adult/2 Youth): £341.80 inc. BF and litter bond
  • Weekend 10 Adult tickets for the price of 9: £959.50 inc. BF and litter bond
  • Thursday (early entry) Pass: £18. Only valid for camping in conjunction with a weekend ticket.
  • Rubbish Bond of £5 per person is fully refundable at the festival. All the above include camping Friday and Saturday nights. For Thursday entry, Thursday camping and entertainment you must purchase the additional Limited Thursday Pass.

Blissfields  will return to Woodmancott, Hampshire on July 1st and 2nd 2016.
