Paul Brady and more added to Van Morrison Eden Session

William the Conqueror, Nathan Ball and Kezia confirmed

The Eden Sessions will be hosting an afternoon of live music ahead of Van Morrison’s headline show on Saturday July 1.

Eden’s arena will be open from 3pm, with Paul Brady, Ruarri Joseph (performing as William the Conqueror), Nathan Ball and Kezia on the main stage throughout the afternoon.

Paul Brady, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is one of Ireland's most highly regarded and successful artists. He crosses musical boundaries again and again, incorporating folk, rock, blues traditional Irish and classic pop styles into his songwriting.

Newquay-based singer-songwriter Ruarri Joseph is known for his supple acoustic finger-picking and deep, warm vocals. Joseph has released four studio albums - Tales of Grime and Grit, Both Sides of The Coin, Shoulder to the Wheel and Brother. Ruarri now performs as William the Conqueror and his debut album under that name – Proud Disturber of the Peace - is due out on August 4th 2017.

Acclaimed London singer-songwriter Nathan Ball, who cites Van Morrison as one of his major influences, has an understated, warm style and distinctive voice is reminiscent of George Ezra. Kezia is a Camborne-based artist with a haunting, powerful voice. She returns to Eden following a residency at last winter’s Festival of Light and Sound. Kezia writes lyric-based songs with simple, thoughtful melodies based around the piano and guitar.

“Eden will have a real festival feel on July 1, with a whole afternoon and evening of fantastic live music culminating in a headline performance from the legend Van Morrison. We’re encouraging people to turn up early, have a drink and something to eat and enjoy what we hope will be a lovely sunny afternoon of music.”
Rita Broe, Eden’s marketing director

Also on the bill at the Eden Sessions in 2017 is Bastille (June 15 – sold out), Madness (June 16 – sold out), Royal Blood (June 22), Blondie (June 23), Bryan Adams (July 6 – sold out) and Foals (July 11).
