Bruno Mars confirmed to headline Roskilde Festival

First acts also include C.V. Jørgensen, Mogwai, Vince Staples and more

The countdown has begun for Roskilde Festival, and the first acts for Northern Europe’s largest music and arts festival have now been revealed.
Grammy-winning Bruno Mars will be headlining the 48th edition of the non-profit festival, playing the iconic Orange Stage for the first time. With record sales exceeding more than 130 million, Bruno Mars is already one of the best-selling artists of all time. The 32-year-old, born and raised in Hawaii, his third album 24K Magic has firmly cemented that position with several hit singles.
Known for his showmanship, fans and newcomers can expect an energetic, explosive show full of hits such as Grenade, Just The Way You Are, That’s What I Like and, naturally, Uptown Funk. Bruno Mars will bring along his band The Hooligans for his Roskilde debut.

“Bruno Mars oozes star quality, and he is first and foremost an outstanding live performer, born to be on stage. There is absolutely no doubt that he will deliver the goods to a crowd that’s ready to party in front of our main stage.”
Head of Programme Anders Wahrén
Also announced today are Scottish post-rock legends Mogwai who will be back at Roskilde next summer, a full 20 years after their first visit to the festival. Rapper Vince Staples also makes his return, bringing his acclaimed sophomore album Big Fish Theory.
Fans of growl and guitars can look forward to Swedish titans Watain and Denmark’s own Myrkur, the latter playing two concerts: a black metal show with a full band and a more intimate show.

Other Danish acts include national favourite C.V. Jørgensen giving a very rare live performance and post-punk trio Nelson Can, currently enjoying plenty of buzz and airplay in both Denmark and further afield.
Expect about 175 acts to play at Roskilde Festival 2018, the festival lasts a full 8 days and takes place from Saturday 30 June to Saturday 7 July. Tickets go on sale on 15 November.
