Carcass And Arch Enemy To Co-Headline Bloodstock

The only UK shows for both bands will happen at Bloodstock 2009

The Bloodstock team have announced that death metal giants Carcass and Arch Enemy have been added to the bill for BOA 2009. The pair will co-headline one day of the festival and the event will mark the only UK shows of 2009 for both bands!

For one night only, two of death metal’s biggest names are set to bring mayhem to Bloodstock in what will surely go down in festival history as a truly unforgettable spectacle. Carcass frontman Jeff Walker says of the upcoming festival appearance:

"Sadly Butlins is all booked up this August, so Carcass gets to play the next best thing - Bloodstock ! All joking aside we're looking foward to playing the metal Mecca of the U.K....Derbyshire! It's been a long time coming - in dog year's at least!"

Carcass bandmate and Arch Enemy guitarist Carcass guitarist Michael Amott is equally enthused:

"We are very much looking forward to co-headlining the Bloodstock festival this summer!  Last time we played Bloodstock (2007) it was bloody brilliant, fantastic fans and an awesome vibe all around (despite the rain!). This may very well be Arch Enemy's sole UK show this year - so we'll do our best to bring the full-on Metal Attack, and we know the Bloodstock crowd will too!"

This is the festival that brings you the infamous metal karaoke! along with two great stages for live music, bars, camping, an International Metal market, metal DJs and signing tents as well as a host of other attractions.

Line up so far:   Amon Amarth,  Apocalyptica,   Arch Enemy, Battlelore,  Candlemass, Carcass,  Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Enslaved, Gwar,  Katatonia,  Million Dollar Reload,  Municipal Waste, Satyricon, Saxon,   Turisas,  The Haunted,  Sabaton, Wintersun.
