Unless you have your own submarine you can't escape the relentless march of the Olympics. It's everywhere, all the time, and we can't help but think that it is having a big impact on attendances of festivals and other music events. Underage festival was the latest one to cancel.

Fortunately a festival of the calibre of Camp Bestival doesn't suffer like the others. It is a tour-de-force and easily the best all round family festival going. Where else can the kids enjoy Mr Tumble and the Gruffalo while you watch Adam Ant or the Happy Mondays or take in a bit of Jaguar Skills whilst finishing off with a set from potty mouthed Jimmy Carr? That's what I call a good range. Early bird tickets for Camp Bestival 2013 are on sale in the morning. Do it!
