MGMT totally took over the Pet Sounds Arena at T in the Park on Saturday July 12

MGMT are an American group who hail from Brooklyn, New York, the band consists of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden.

Describing themselves as 'shape-shifting psychedelic pop' this bunch of musicians are exciting to watch and the avante guard nature of their music is both new and exciting yet instantly memorable, put simply - it just gets to you.

On October 5, 2007, Spin.com named MGMT "Artist of the Day". On November 14, 2007 Rolling Stone pegged MGMT as a top 10 "Artist to Watch" in 2008. The band was recently named 9th in the BBC's Sound of 2008 top 10 poll.

MGMT really are rather special with a wide ranging appeal - definitely one to watch - we predict very big things for MGMT.
